IT Communications Manager

This position advances the communication efforts for Information Technology Services (ITS) and supports the ITS brand for a variety of audiences. It also delivers communications projects via strategic, tactical, and operational leadership on behalf of ITS.

Campus Solutions

Software Engineer

This position establishes test procedures and tests and debugs programs/services as assigned. It also reviews programs and systems written by others using Github. With guidance, this position creates software documentation including flowcharts, statements of program objectives and associated documentation.

Software Engineer Lead

This Software Engineer Lead will be a technical member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team. They will play a significant role in advancing the strategic IAM goals for services and driving the implementation of solutions to meet campus IAM needs.

Senior Software Engineer

This position will serve as Senior Software Engineer on the Web Consulting Services team to design, build, and maintain complex administrative technical applications for departments across campus, with a focus on development in Java.

Senior Software Engineer

This position will serve as Senior Software Engineer on the Web Consulting Services team to design, build, and maintain complex administrative technical applications for departments across campus, with a focus on development in Natural programming for the mainframe.

ServiceNow Architect

This position will be responsible to design, develop, test, and document ServiceNow flows, forms, reports, application configurations and adaptations to accomplish goals of user requests. It will also need to evaluate user requests for new or modified workflows to determine feasibility, cost and time required, and compatibility with current system.

Software Engineer

This position will be responsible to provide continued support capacity for the ITS Messaging Tools team as a current staff member transitions to a new role. It will also ensure redundant support for a suite of services which currently have no dedicated backup staff members.

Networking and Telecommunications

Mechanic/Technician

This position will need to provide journey level installation, repair and maintenance of building telecommunications horizontal cabling.

Construction Inspector

This position coordinates, develops, and implements project plans and schedules related to ITS facilities (spaces, cabling, pathways, and systems) on construction, renovation, maintenance, and event projects at multiple sites.

Enterprise Network Engineer III

This position provides senior technical engineering support to design, build, and operate the university’s enterprise and departmental networks, while providing advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting for departmental customers. Develop, deploy and operate systems and processes to improve university network operations, security and resilience.

IT Manager, Site Networking

The Site Manager supports the Edge and Core Networking team in overseeing and coordinating operational support of the university’s enterprise wired and wireless network.

Accounting and Customer Service Manager

This position coordinates ITS Networking and Telecommunication’s (the university's Internet and telephone service provider) front office supporting orders, charges, service, and billing.

Systems Administrator II

This position provides world class system administration for the University of Texas access control and video management solutions to better foster a safe, secure and inclusive environment for the students, staff and faculty.

ITS is also a great place for students to find a part-time, on-campus job where they can develop customer service skills, help support the university mission, and get real professional experience. Student employee positions with ITS are often a stop along the path to a rewarding full-time information technology position at the university. Just to give you an idea of the possibilities that await, our current Director of Networking, Chief Information Security Officer, as well as a range of other staff titles in Applications, Networking, Systems, Customer Support Services, and the Information Security Office, all started out at the ITS Service Desk as student employees.
