Campus Solutions

Senior Systems Administrator

The Administrative Systems team is responsible for the campus mainframe, which houses critical university data, as well as more than 75 Linux servers. The person who fills this position will provide ongoing support for these systems and a variety of tools (e.g., Task Manager, Natural on the Web, file transfer processing) that we maintain to support administrative developers on campus and will likely learn the underpinnings of the mainframe, as well.

Software Developer/Analyst

This position will assist in the day-to-day support and enhancement of the UT ServiceNow platform through technical technical development and requirements gathering and analysis tasks.

Software Engineer

This Software Engineer will be a technical member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team. They will play a significant role in advancing the strategic IAM goals for services and driving the implementation of solutions to meet campus IAM needs.

Senior Enterprise Engineer - macOS

This Senior End Point Management position focused on MacOS/iOS is primarily responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting systems required for the Endpoint Management services.

Enterprise Engineer - Windows

This End Point Management position focused on Windows Operating Systems is primarily responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting systems required for the Endpoint Management services. This will require configuring servers, applications and services, endpoint application deployments, and ensuring security standards and compliance are met. It will also involve providing production support, responding to incident and request tickets, and tracking KPIs and metrics. Works on complex issues with little campus precedent that require in-depth analysis of variable situations or data. Provides knowledge in heterogeneous, multi-disciplinary, integrated enterprise platforms and infrastructure. Exercises consistent, comprehensive, and good judgment in assisting with the selecting of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Ability to evaluate and promote projects addressing campus needs to other technical communities and identified/potential stakeholders.

Financial and Business Services

Accounting Technician

This position coordinates, processes and tracks financial requests for Information Technology Services. General responsibility areas include procurement, payments, travel reimbursements, documentation, and account reconciliation. Oversees the maintenance of detailed reports and records of accounting data. Partners with vendors and business services teams in support of carrying out these tasks.

Networking and Telecommunications

Wireless Network Architect

This Wireless Network Architect is one of the senior members of the ITS Core Networking team, leading both design and operations of the university’s Wi-Fi network.

Key responsibilities of this role include design, architecture, management, operations and technical leadership in a wide variety of network technologies and solutions. All solutions developed must align with business needs, financial requirements and sound architectural principles to deliver best value.

Enterprise Network Engineer I or II

The Enterprise Network Engineer supports the Edge and Core Networking team to design, build, and operate the university's enterprise and departmental networks, while providing advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting for departmental customers.

Billing Supervisor

This position will coordinate ITS Networking and Telecommunication’s front office service requests and offerings.

Enterprise Wireless Network Engineer III

This position will provide technical leadership in the operation and evolution of the university’s enterprise wireless network in order to provide next-generation features improving security, scalability, and customer experience.

Data Communication Specialist

Under supervision, this position will implement and maintain network and voice infrastructure, manage inventory and tracking of network equipment, and perform field installation, repair and maintenance of network and voice equipment. This position will also assist staff in daily operations for network equipment installations and wireless surveys.

This position is responsible for the administration of the Data to Insights program, including coordinating logistical, financial, and human resource activities. This role manages several key aspects of operations, supports multiple staff, and contributes to a positive and growth-oriented team through building trust-worthy relationships.

ITS is also a great place for students to find a part-time, on-campus job where they can develop customer service skills, help support the university mission, and get real professional experience. Student employee positions with ITS are often a stop along the path to a rewarding full-time information technology position at the university. Just to give you an idea of the possibilities that await, our current Director of Networking, Chief Information Security Officer, as well as a range of other staff titles in Applications, Networking, Systems, Customer Support Services, and the Information Security Office, all started out at the ITS Service Desk as student employees.
